Bedar Jeep Tour – Discover hidden Andalusia on four wheels
Experience an unforgettable adventure through the fascinating mountains of Andalusia – ideal for nature lovers, explorers and culture enthusiasts. Our Bedar Jeep Tour combines exciting off-road driving with historical sites, breathtaking views and the authentic charm of an Andalusian mountain village.
The prelude – entry into history
We start by driving through a narrow, pitch-black supply tunnel dating back to 1902. Once used by lorries to transport ore – today it opens the door to another world.
Secret tunnel & hike through the mine valley
After a short section of terrain, we reach a hidden pedestrian tunnel that leads us into a remote valley. On a 20-minute panoramic hike, we walk along a ridgeway lined with relics of historic mining: old shafts, walls and rusty machines tell stories from another time.
Júpiter pit viewpoint
A highlight of the tour is the view of the Júpiter pit – an impressive, hand-dug open-cast mine. From the viewing platform, you can enjoy a spectacular view of this impressive landscape, which seems to be from another world.
Visit to the Buddhist center
Continue to the meditation center Rigdzin Namkha Dzong, which is located high up in the silence of the mountains. The peaceful atmosphere, the garden and the distant views as far as the Mediterranean invite you to linger and take a deep breath.
Cuisine & culture in the mountain village of Bédar
We drive down to Bédar on winding roads. Two traditional tapas, fresh bread and a drink await you in a typical local bar. Afterwards, there will be time to explore the whitewashed village with its narrow, flower-filled streets.
